Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: email address, password hash and verification state, or the account details Google provides when you choose Google sign-in.
• License data: subscription status and timestamps. If you subscribe, we may store Stripe customer/subscription identifiers.
• Machine binding: a machine identifier used to enforce “1 license = 1 machine”.
• Desktop product analytics: anonymous app version, operating system, screens used, product actions, and limited import diagnostics such as file type, result counts, and error categories.
• Download analytics: aggregate download counts by platform and campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium, campaign, and content.

What we do not collect

• Trading and journal content: imported trades, cashflows, and journal notes are stored locally. Product analytics events do not include complete trade records, statement files, or journal text.
• Payment card details: handled directly by Stripe.

Why we process data

• To create and authenticate your account.
• To validate your license and enable subscription features.
• To provide customer support and security (e.g., password resets, abuse prevention).
• To understand product use, diagnose import outcomes, and improve the app.
• To measure downloads and understand which campaigns lead people to them.

Analytics choices

Website analytics uses Google Analytics only after you accept the analytics banner. You can reject it, and the analytics script will not load.

Anonymous desktop product analytics is enabled by default. You can turn it off at any time using the analytics setting in the app. Download redirects may still be counted in aggregate, including any UTM campaign parameters attached to the download link.

Processors

We use third parties to operate the service. These providers process data on our behalf:

• Stripe (payments, subscriptions).
• Resend (transactional emails such as verification and password reset).
• Google (optional sign-in and consent-based website analytics).
• Hosting provider for the API and website.

Retention

We retain account and license records for as long as your account exists and as needed for legitimate business and legal reasons (for example, subscription history). You can request deletion (see below).

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA and UK), you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent where applicable.
